Math update

hey guys i'm kirsty if you don't know

i have got a way you can work out

the answer in a math test

so this is an example

472 + 527 = ?

so first go in the hundreds column first

400 + 500 = 900

then go in the tens column 

70 + 20 = 90

now go into the ones column

2 + 7 = 9

now you take all the answers are combined them together.

900 + 90 + 9 = 999

so thats how you work it out but only if you need to

here is a another example

123 + 456 = ?

100 + 400 = 500

20 + 50 = 70

3 + 6 = 9

500 + 70 + 9 =579

Two truths one porkie

Hey everyone a couple of days ago i made a doc about 2 truths and 1 lie here is mine.



1 YAY!!! ‘It’s my birthday I woke up extremely early ’. On my birthday I made slime. ‘The first slime color was pastel purple, the second one was baby pink and the third one was sky blue’. ‘I made the slime with my older sister Chloe’. ‘It was an awesome birthday because I spent it with my friends and my family’. The ingredients I used are pva glue, shaving cream, food coloring and borax (WARNING BORAX BURNS). I got the pva glue from WareHouse Stationery, the borax from Mitre 10, the shaving cream from the WareHouse and the food coloring from the supermarket. First I got two bowls out. Then in one bowl I put a teaspoon of borax with one cup of water. Then in a different bowl I put 1 cup of pva glue in the bowl, and then I put a half cup of shaving cream in the same bowl as the glue. Next I put 3 drops of food coloring in the bowl with glue and shaving cream then I mixed until it was all mixed together. Finally I put a teaspoon of borax that I made before, then when it gets to a thick consistency I went in with my hands.  Finally it went from sticky to non sticky. I loved playing with my slime, also you have to keep it in a container or it will go sticky.

2 I went Camping in the holidays I can't remember where the place is called, It was a nice place’. ‘I set up my tent And I got my air bed and blow it up’. ‘Me, my sister and family got up and we left the next morning’.

3 I went swimming at Rolleston pools with my cousin and sister”. ”We mostly spent more time and the big pool but we did go in the spa and Lazy River”. We spent 3 or 4 hours from 12:37pm to 4:07. Then we went home.

This Story Is Insane!

Hey everyone im back!!!!
So I did a story in writing about hyperbole and this is what turned out to look it

Once upon a time there was a dog named Milo. Milo was as fast as a ford and as strong as a mice. One day Milo was so hungry he could eat a rhino, so he went to find himself something to eat. Milo had an amazing sense of smell near him. It was so far he could almost smell it! He searched for years but couldn’t find it. Suddenly, a man as tall as the beehive walked passed him eating a chicken leg. Milo drooled so much it was like a river flowing from his mouth! The man laughed, pet Milo on the head and handed him the bone. Milo was so happy he could time travel !!!

Why fidget spinners are getting banned from other schools?, how popular are they at gilberthorpe school?and what is a fidget spinner?

A fidget spinner is a toy that is like a stress reliever and helps people calm down.


Fidget spinners are banned from other schools because they are a distraction to learning and can be dangerous.

Fidget spinners are quite popular at Gilberthorpe school and have been for about 3-5 months.

This is what can happen if you bring your fidget spinner to school.

Cons.

I think that fidget spinners should be kept at home because.....

They are distracting and they are dangerous.

They are too noisy and make others stop with their work.

They might get stuck in your hair.

If it is a plastic fidget spinner it could break.

They also are expensive.

 Also they might get lost!

!!!THIS IS WHY YOU DON'T BRING YOUR FIDGET SPINNER TO SCHOOL!!!

Hey, blog team!!!!!!! Sorry you haven't heard from me in a while I have been busy so today I have made a slide here it is

My recount of Timber-Nook

Hey blog team yesterday the whole school went to Timber-Nook so I wrote a recount.

On Thursday before we went to Timber-Nook some of Gilberthorpe School went on the playground and some of us went on the field to play rugby or soccer(I went on the playground). About 29 minutes later we got our stuff ready to go, we did the roll and we got on the bus. On the bus I sat next to Nirvana my BFFFL we said that we should have bought a notebook or something like that. When we arrived we went over the rules and had a chat about safety. I built a hut with Nirvana, Unique and Milla our hut was kind-of  bad but we thought is was good. At the end of Timber Nook we made pancakes over cans. When that was done we all got packed up and ready to leave. On the bus back I sat next to Nirvana again. We hopped out of the bus and we walked back to our class. Since Miss Morgan is nice she let us go on the playground because we arrived back 20 minutes early. So we all did at the end of the day I was tired so at home I had a long nap.

Hey!!Blog team i'm back with some writing to share with you here is my writing about a journey and a animation about the journey.



 Title: Lost & Found 1

 It was a nice Autumn morning,the leaves were falling off trees and I asked my friend Nirvana “do you want to go for a hike up some hills?”,she said “yes” I would love to. So me and Nirvana went for a hike up the hills.

After about 30 minutes later we come across a sign that says “Go back or you will regret it” So I have to have a closer look at it and when I look back at Nirvana she was GONE. About 20 minutes later I found her phone in the woods,then out of nowhere a ghost pretends to be Nirvana and scares me. When the ghost flew off I picked up her phone and tried to call someone but the service was out.

I drop Nirvana’s phone and go to a boat I found one time. I sail about 10 minutes from the dock and then I found a magic wand, I tried to magic her back and it didn't work so I tried again and it worked “Hey Nirvana you’re back where were you”? I asked she replied with “The last thing I remember was a pitch black hole” Then she asked me “Where is my phone” I reply with “In the Forest” she said “WHAT we need to go get it” “ok ok “ I said so we sailed to the forest and got her phone. 

After calling her parents she said to me “ Do you think this was a good adventure”? I reply with “Kind of” 5 minutes later Nirvana’s mum picks us up from the forest and we head home in her mum’s BIG BIG CAR. 

And that my bloggers is why you do not go on creepy hills or use magic
